Pregnancy: 8w(whatever)d - Suddenly, SALAD!!

So I tried to stomach Olive Garden salad (and BREADSTICKS!!) last night. Salad in general just hasn't agreed with me lately -- and by "lately", I mean for the past month or so -- so I wasn't all that surprised when I felt crappy afterward and still feel crappy today.

But I came across this and it made me LOL, because it's SO TRUE. ERMAHGERD SALAD D:

  1. Lol that suddenly salad box is waaaayy overpriced for the amount it makes. I tried the pasta salad and ended up having to add more pasta to the mix.

The first few months, I was all about the greasy and spicy foods. I craved frank's red hot and quite literally put that sh*t on everything. Once the queasiness went away, I went back to salads with no problem.

  2. I believe it's better to eat something, than nothing, so if healthy stuff doesn't appeal to you, don't force yourself to eat it. Get the calories any way you can, later on in the second and third trimesters you'll feel better and be able to eat more healthy foods. (If you want to. I chose to stick with Big Macs).

    What?

They have lettuce and pickles in them!

  3. Haha! I figured it was a complete ripoff. But I'm not all that surprised that it is. ;)

LOL @ literally putting that shit on everything. ;) Love it! And good to know. Right now, I can't even imagine the thought of a salad, which makes me sad as I loved them pre-pregnancy. Ah well... all in good time.

  4. Truth! I figure there's plenty of time after the first trimester for the good stuff. So for now, I'm eating the GOOD stuff, haha. So what if my dinner is salt and vinegar chips and Ho-Hos! I'm still taking my prenatals! LOL

And I have to admit (and I already told you this, but it still makes me laugh): McD's cheeseburgers without the burgers? AMAZING. I don't care if it's a glorified grilled cheese! ;)

  5. I wonder if you bought a big mac and made your own veggie burgers or something, if they'd still be delicious. Hmmm.
