C28, Cycle 6 - 10DPO

Melissa reminded me this afternoon that I hadn't updated since Monday! Crazy, huh? It's been absolutely insane at work this week, so much so that I haven't had the chance to obsess during this TWW.

My feet are KILLING ME. I literally ran around the office Tuesday through today, between the Board of Directors visit and today's audit... both of which went really well. I was complimented by both awesome attorney-boss and awesome prez-boss for how smooth each one went, which just fills me with pride, haha.

So anyway, that's why I haven't updated all week! I sat at my computer a combined two or so hours Tuesday through Thursday, then about half the day today, but that was all catch-up work from the rest of the week. I'm still not caught up, boo.

That being said, I haven't been around here, either. It's almost a "no news is good news" thing, though, as I'm sure I'd say something if the fat bitch sang. Fortunately, I'm still pretty early in, so there's time.

I'm considering taking my first test tomoorrow IF, and only if, my temps go back up. I went through the past three months' worth of charts and realized that I have a peak at 9DPO every single month that just... went down from there. If it goes back up, I'll feel better, but if not... I'm already pretty much settling for AF's arrival.

Bet y'all didn't anticipate Negative Nancy in this post, did'ja! I'm not *negative*  right now, just accepting of the distinct possibility and biding my time.

No worries, though. There's plenty to keep my mind off it coming up... including our trip to Canada! AAAAH SO EXCITED!!

(Note to self: Back to the Passport Agency Monday. Yay.)

I missed y'all. :)

C24, Cycle 6 - 6DPO

I feel sooooo shitty today.

I've been up since 4:50am, running around like a crazy person to get to the passport agency on time (read: an hour before they open). Did I mention that I lost my passport? I didn't? Well, there ya go. I've been in downtown D.C. since 6:45am. By the time I arrived at the passport agency at 7:05am, there were already about eight groups of people in front of me. Crazy, huh? Fortunately, the line moved quickly and I was able to get an appointment at 8:30am.

Since I lost my passport, I have to go through a different system than others, so I've been waiting around since then to get another copy printed out. It's been over two hours, boo.

Anyway, so that's where I've been all day. Since I had to get up so early, I had to take my temp about two hours earlier than usual, so it was only 97.54. A pretty significant drop from yesterday's 97.97. I'm not worried, though.

My stomach has been an absolute mess since yesterday, though -- I'm so nauseous. Fortunately, I can keep food down, but it just feels chronically upset. I also waver between constipation and just the opposite of that, which has been fun. And some dude just sat over in my area of McDonald's (I'm here stealing their wifi, haha) and he SMELLED from 10 feet away. I had to move, it was so bad.

It's too early for these to be symptoms, and I'm actually chalking it up to stress. I'm under a lot of it due to this week's insane schedule, so I'm not surprised. Can't wait for this week to be over.

CD23, Cycle 6 - 5DPO: Strange things. Funny things!

I had a bizarre dream last night. I don't remember too much about the first bit, but I do recall breastfeeding a (or what I assumed was my) baby, and the baby tugging at my breast with its face. It was so realistic (um, what I believe feels realistic, at least) and paiiiinful. Like I was doing it within the first week or so and my nipples were just not used to it.

That started the day on a good foot, lol.

Then we went to the pool this afternoon and ran into our neighbors and their friends; our neighbors have two adorable little girls who apparently love us, haha, and their friends have an older boy and younger girl, who fell in love with us at the pool (even hugged us as we all got up to leave!). We were hanging out under an overhang during "adult swim", a concept that is still foreign to me as someone who grew up with a pool in the backyard but TOTALLY understandable because kicking the kids out left about five or so adults, and one of our neighbor's little girls, 6 years old, said...

"Is he your husband?"
"Yup!"
"And you're his fiance!"
"Haha, no, I'm his wife."
"Oh, you're married? [brief pause] Where are your kids?"

My eyebrows just about flew off my forehead, and DH started CRACKING up! He and the girl's parents, who were looking at me like, good luck explaining that! So I quickly said we don't have any kids yet, but soon! She seemed satisfied with that one. ;)

It's just been a crazy baby-filled day. Fortunately, I have much to keep my mind off this kind of stuff, between all the things I posted yesterday or the day before. And now I have to go to the D.C. Passport Agency tomorrow morning because this dumbass lost her three-week-old passport, somehow. Eurgh.

Hope y'all had a great weekend! ;)

CD21, Cycle 6 - 3DPO

Egg finally dropped! And just in time, too -- I had a pretty stressful week, and I have only more to come! On the itinerary:
  • 9 June: Jazz festival! :D

  • 11-13 June: Carpooling with DH as he has a local-to-my-work audit... work from 7:30am to 6pm, YAY.

  • 13-14 June: Board of Directors meeting at work, which means planning ahead (read: this past week) and week of.

  • 15 June: Business audit, which means planning the day before.

  • 16-17 June: CLEAN ALL THE THINGS

  • 18-21 June: ILs come in to town. Entertain.

  • 21 June: Wedding at Eastern Shore.

  • 22-29 June: Canada trip!! (7-year anniversary on 25 June!)
And, uh... testing somewhere in there. DH wants me to hold out until 19 June (14DPO), but honestly, I want to test on the 17th -- 12DPO is pretty long, AND it's Father's Day in the US of A. Could you imagine getting a positive on Father's Day?!

The ILs are also going to be in town (and at our house...) on the 19th, so yeah.

Fortunately, as shown above, I have plenty to keep me busy between now and then. I've likely got to find a way to abstain from alcohol without being too suspicious while the ILs are here (unless AF shows, of course, then all bets are off), especially at the wedding. I should know by then -- I mean, come on, 16DPO at the wedding. Either we'll know or I'll be gettin' crunk.

Astrology from CD18 is still creeping me out. I hope it's right! Guess only time will tell. 3DPO and, predictably, I'm not feeling anything yet.

TGIF. Fo' rizzle.

CD18, Cycle 6: Holy shit.

I receive a daily email from Astrology.com, and typically post these kinds of things to Facebook. When I opened my inbox today, I got this, which I am NOT posting to Facebook for obvious reasons:

In just a couple of weeks, you can expect that secret project you've been working on to bear fruit -- big, red luscious fruit. Better prepare the multitude for the announcement now, so that it won't be quite as much of a shock. It's only fair.

Ho. Ly. Shit. I got goosebumps, I won't even lie. And tears to my eyes, but I think more from shock and the RAGING GOOSEBUMPS than anything.

Holy shit. Holy shit holy shit holy shit.

This morning coffee now seems less appetizing, heh.

Bad blogger! Bad!

[caption id="attachment_1347" align="aligncenter" width="550" caption="Yeah yeah, I get it. I've been a very bad blogger lately."][/caption]

I haven't been here in a month, which makes me sad for so many reasons. My head hangs in shame as I realize how much time has passed and how many awesome things have happened since the last time I've updated.

There have been things I've wanted to say, but I admit that I've been a bit lazy about writing them down. It wasn't until I got an email from a loyal friend and blog follower that she's been missing my updates that I realized just how much I need to get back to it.

So, um... here I am! I'm so happy to see y'all again. :)

My absence hasn't been for naught, though. Since spring kicked in full force and the weather has been beautiful more often than not, Matt and I have been spending a lot of time outdoors, mingling with our neighbors and making new friends in the area. Oh, and visiting my cousin and his family before their trip to China for the summer! There hasn't a week gone by when we didn't have at least two or three social gatherings, and I don't see that slowing down anytime soon!

While I've missed y'all dearly, I'm also happy to be able to spend time with friends and family around here. Matt and I are self-proclaimed homebodies, but we've been making a concerted effort lately to get out and do things, whether it's riding our bikes, going out to the pool, barbequing with our friends in our townhouse row, or generally painting all of Maryland red. It's been a rather nice change, and we've discovered that we have this proclivity to bring neighbors -- who have been such for 5 years or more without once really getting to know each other! -- together all in one place.

Like I said, it's not going to slow down. We actually have a family wedding coming up on Litha (21 June!), then Matt and I are taking a week-long trip for our 7-year dating anniversary to Canada! Niagra Falls, Canada side for a couple days, then Toronto for four or so. And a few surprises in between.

Anyway, so that explains my recent absence for the most part. A friend of mine on LJ posted a 30-day vlog meme that I'm considering doing to get back in the swing of things -- full meme below. Might start that this week. I've never done a vlog before, so this should be fun!

I also have some recipes to share, and I'm going to do a week-long Litha thing to kick summer into full gear, so keep an eye out for that as well!

Glad to be back! I hope y'all are having a great summer so far, and I'll catch you around the internetz. :)

CD16, Cycle 6: Exciting weekend!

We had a very eventful weekend! It was full of good times with neighbors; we had over our former neighbor, then added two other neighbors from two different houses as the day progressed, lol. Margaritas, burgers on the grill, beers, and some pizza with BTtF part I. Amazing day.

And today, we had two of the same neighbors over for coffee, then went to see MIBIII. If you haven't seen it and you're a MIB fan, I highly recommend it. Like... seriously. While not as good as the first, it was definitely better than the second, and the end totally threw us for a loop. I got goosebumps! Anyway, we came back, had some sandwiches on the back patio, then everyone went their respective ways.

Cue... us gettin' it on. Brown chicken brown cowwww...

I had a positive OPK today. Two, actually. So between that and the PreSeed, we had a good time, haha. Planning on tomorrow and the next day, skipping one, then going for it one last time, close to the SMEP. We'll see how it goes.

If we were to think optimistically -- and we have because, hey, it keeps us goin' -- success this month would mean knowing before we go to Canada for our anniversary trip. While it'd mean no drinking (boo!), it could mean a very cool way to tell our parents and to eventually go public. More on that if it, yanno, happens. :)

Alrighty... we've gotta get some laundry done for tomorrow and get ready for a new workweek. Hope y'all had a great weekend! <3
