Pregnancy: 11w1d

A week away from being out of the "danger zone." :)

What I love: That everything seems to be going well! [Same]

What I hate: Morning sickness! Fortunately, it’s starting to wane. Eating is still pretty difficult — I have to take it slowly and really breathe through some of the nausea — but it’s at least leveled out. [Same]

What I miss: Being able to eat normal food at a regular pace. [Same]

What I’m looking forward to the most: This morning sickness being over and done with. [Same!]

Worries: That it won’t stick. That’s a big worry right now. [Same]

Symptoms: Morning sickness/nausea, loose stools, frequent urination, sore nips. Most are the same, though some are starting to wane. I've noticed a huge burst of energy to get me through the workday, then feeling exhausted at 7pm. Oh! And I'm STARVING after work now! And I want t burp or something at night, but it's uncomfortable and makes me feel like I want to throw up. That's weird...

Mood: More energetic. More calm. Mood swings are mostly exhibited as laughing fits, though I have lost my temper a couple times.

Sleep: Going well! Lots of weird dreams, though.

Movement: Um, none. Way too early for that. LOL [Same]

The belly (and the button!): Belly button still in! [Same] Starting to "fill out" a bit more, which is interesting... I haven't gained any weight yet!

Wedding rings on or off: Off! But not because of what you’d think. It’s cooler out, so my engagement ring spin. I end up taking it off during the day, lol. [Same]

Waist (measured at the belly button: No way to measure. I really should start doing this, lol. [Same... apparently, I never learn... even still!!]

Milestones: Ummmm... actually, I can't really think of any. ;)

Best moment of the week: Scheduling my 13w1d ultrasound! I'm excited for that because I'll be public at that point... gonna tell HR and Facebook and TCC!! :D

How your baby's growing:

Your baby, just over 1 1/2 inches long and about the size of a fig, is now almost fully formed. Her hands will soon open and close into fists, tiny tooth buds are beginning to appear under her gums, and some of her bones are beginning to harden.

She's already busy kicking and stretching, and her tiny movements are so effortless they look like water ballet. These movements will become more frequent as her body grows and becomes more developed and functional. You won't feel your baby's acrobatics for another month or two — nor will you notice the hiccupping that may be happening now that her diaphragm is forming.

How your life's changing:

If you're like most women, you're feeling a bit more energetic now and your nausea may be starting to wane. Unfortunately, you may also be suffering from constipation (caused by hormonal changes, which can slow digestion) and heartburn (hormones again, relaxing the valve between your stomach and esophagus). Just remember, all this discomfort is for a good cause.

Don't worry if nausea has made it impossible for you to eat a wide variety of healthy foods or if you haven't put on much weight yet (most women gain just 2 to 5 pounds during the first trimester). Your appetite will likely return soon, and you'll start to gain about a pound a week.

Learn which of your symptoms are normal and which are a sign that something might be wrong. You're probably also wondering things like, Can I keep going to dance class? Could the air bags in my car hurt my baby? Which cold medications are safe to take now? Find out what's safe and what's not during pregnancy.
Avoid the wait "After my first couple of trips to the doctor, where I sat for long periods in the waiting room, I learned to schedule my prenatal checkups for first thing in the morning or the first appointment after lunch — when there's no backlog of patients to get through and thus little or no wait." — V.W.B.

  2. Yay! :D Thank you!!

And as I post this, you know this huge wave of nausea kicks my ass, but hey, at least it's a lot less frequent. ;)
